our first tries on macro

After quite a time without any posts due to some stress in school we are back with the first results of our journey into the world of macro photography.

Even though we do not own an expensive, professionel macro lens, we still think that the results we got from our standard 18-250mm zoom lens are quite impressive.

In the future we will upload content more frequently again, so stay tuned.
As always we would be very happy to get some feedback from you, especially concerning macro photography.

father and son

When we have been to Oostende, last weekend, we had a little walk on the promenade. We spotted a group of sea gulls flying in circles. Suddenly, a father and his little son stepped into the frame.

Back home we aplied a black and white filter.

we took this shot yesterday. It was quite rainy so we did some indoor photography.

We dripped some water into a bowl and kept it with a long exposure (0.8s). We filled in a flash manually with a blue diffusor mounted so that we got the effect we desired. The aperture was fully closed to make the long exposure time possible.

In the end we edited the shot slightly by blurring out the background and corrected the colors a bit.

Suggestions for improvements are always welcome!

behind blue eyes

the last days were quite busy but we found time to organize a little shooting outdoors. During the post production we recognized that his eyes are realy amazing, so we decided to draw the viewers attention onto them. To do so we first made the picture black and white but held the eyes blue to make them more eyecatching.

hurry

child

at a saturday afternoon we decided to do some street photography in Maastricht in the Netherlands. It was very rainy and quite wet outside so everybody was in a little hurry.

We found this father with his little daugther meandering around.

In the post production we just kept the girl colored to catch the eyes on her.

This pictures has been taken with our Canon EOS 600D at ISO 100, 1/500s, f2.5 with our 50mm lens.

turn

SONY DSC

we organized a shooting with a friend whose hobby is biking.

When he practiced his turns we were able to take our shots. This one in particular was taken at ISO 100 with a shutter speed of 1/2000 s and an aperture of f4.5.

In the post production we lightened up the bike but kept the background dark so that the bike attracts the views on the bike!

We hope that you enjoy our work. Feel free to comment, share & like.

as we walked threw a park nearby we saw this impressive pond which was just like a mirror because of it’s super clear water.

We decided to take three photos with different shutter speeds to merge them as an HDR to emphasize the reflex.

thornes

dornes

as we walked through the fields we saw this old fancy barbed wire fence. We liked the nice Bokeh created by our 50mm lens.

Afterwards we put a nice black and white filter over it to emphasize it’s old fashioned style.

We would be pleased if you like our work and if you would click on the follow button!

We always would like if you comment our work and say what we could improve.

Thank you!

when we took a little walk in the fields we saw this tree merging so nicely with the sun going down.

We took several shots with different shutter speeds and composed them in the end to create this nice HDR effect.

We hope that you enjoy our photo and would be pleased about comments and proposal to improve our work!

shot with canon eos 600d @f 2.8, 1/3000

On our way back home we found a place with a nice lighting so we decided to take a quick shot. We had to use a reflector to light up the other side of the face an that actually reflects in the sunglasses.

By the way this is one member of the 32bephoto team.
